Privacy
Draft. This describes what the software actually stores, written plainly. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the bracketed parts are placeholders the owner still has to settle.
What is stored
- Your email address and a hashed password, which is what an account is.
- The photos and videos you upload, and the captions and descriptions you write, together with the display name of whoever added each one.
- A small audit trail: who changed what, and when.
- Error reports — from the server, and from your browser when something on a page fails — so a problem can be fixed without sitting at your computer. They carry the failure and who was signed in, not your content.
What is not stored
No advertising or analytics trackers of any kind. No payment details — paying to publish a trip happens with a payment provider, and card numbers never reach this site. Camera metadata (including GPS coordinates) is stripped from the resized copies the site generates for grids and lightboxes.
Who can see it
The people on a trip, the site's administrator, and anybody holding a share link that the trip's manager created — share links are view-only and can be switched off at any time. Nothing is sold, rented or handed to anyone else, and nothing is used to train anything.
Where it lives
On a server the owner runs [placeholder — hosting location and provider to be stated by the owner], behind a content delivery network that sees requests in transit. Backups, if any, are the owner's own.
Cookies
One, for staying signed in. It is not shared with anyone and it is not used to follow you anywhere else.
Your material, and getting rid of it
